HEEG – Jachtwerf Heeg has launched its latest sailboat model, the Pointer 30, with a slight delay, at the Sept. 17-25 Interboot show in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Three of the elegant cabin sailing yachts were sold from drawings, says yard Director Geert Wijma.
“We worked hard all summer to finish everything on time,” he says. “But the supply of some parts, among other things, took longer than expected.”
The 9.1m Pointer 30, a Bosgraaf Design in collaboration with the yard, was developed to meet market demand for a larger, seaworthy Pointer. Until now, Wijma made the elegant sailboats in 22ft (6.7ft) and 25ft (7.6ft) versions.
The Pointer 30 is an innovative cabin yacht that appeals to sporty and recreational sailors. In developing the craft, the focus was on combining space and luxury in a full-cabin sailing yacht and creating optimal sailing characteristics with a modern sail plan and well-thought-out underwater hull.
The Pointer 30 (left) offers more space and comfort for longer sailing. Below deck are four spacious berths, each 2.10m long. Two of these are in a separate cabin. There is also an enclosed toilet and a galley. In the cabin are two armchairs.
The polyester Pointer 30 also boasts a Bolidt Esthec deck. In September, Wijma revealed the first images of the Pointer-30, which offers customers the option of a tilting steering wheel or tiller. The sail plan is easy to control from the cockpit. The Pointer 30 can be sailed single-handedly.
In 2021, Jachtwerf Heeg underwent significant storage and building capacity expansion. Wijma acquired the yard in 2009 with two other investors. Since 2016, he has built almost 60 Pointers.
On his Pointer site, he lets clients choose a color scheme for Pointers. The new flagship comes standard with a closed transom and swimming platform. It can access a large sailing area with a shallow 1.25m (4.1ft) draft. The Pointer 30 base price is €134.900.
