DÜSSELDORF – The Saffier Se 24 Lite has been named European Sailing Yacht of the Year 2024 in the ‘Special yachts’ class. It is the fifth time that Saffier Yachts, the maker of world-class daysailers, has received a Yacht of the Year award.
It was announced on the opening day of the 2024 Boot Düsseldorf exhibition, the largest indoor boat show in the world.
KM Yachtbuilders’ Bestevaer 36 received an honorable mention in its class for durability. Seven Dutch yachts, both sailing yachts and powerboats, were nominated for this edition of the EYOTY election.

“This award is the best recognition for the development, passion and dedication we put into our work. The European Yacht of the Year Award motivates us to continue raising standards and building the best yachts in the world.”
The Saffier Se 24 Lite is a highly sustainable boat. It sports an electric propulsion system charged 24/7 by solar panels integrated into the deck. Its rig goes up and down in the blink of an eye. It is easily transportable and can be launched off a trailer or hoisted out of the water by a single crane. It offers the ultimate sailing experience: single-handed, with family or racing at full speed.

Until recently, Saffier Yachts made high-end open-cockpit daysailers. The latest from the yard is the new evolutionary Saffier SL 46, a high-end cabin cruiser that “we have been working on with great enthusiasm, staying true to Saffier Yachts’ values,” says the yard.
