LELYSTAD — The 2024 In-Water HISWA (August 28 through September 1) will be Northwestern Europe’s largest outdoor boating event, displaying more than four hundred new yachts from the Netherlands, Europe, Asia, the United States and Australia.

The 2024 In-Water HISWA event is not just about showcasing yachts and boats worldwide. It offers a unique experience. The circular show site on the big lake in the heart of the Netherlands ensures minimal walking. The 2024 show, say organizers, features the largest number of firsts ever, luring a wide selection of new yachts from 6 to 24m (20 to 79ft) and many accessories.

In-Water HISWA’s sales manager Alex Hoeve says the event is not only about showing many boats. “We want to show its diversity in the water and onshore. Nowadays, visitors want to know the company behind the boats. That’s why we can welcome more exhibitors than before.”

With exhibitors worldwide, the In-Water HISWA sees itself as one that matters Internationally. In March already, organizers reported an almost sold-out show. Fair Director Arjen Rahusen: “On the Internet, the offer is fragmented, but in the Bataviahaven, everything is conveniently together. We show a great diversity of boats, not just sloops and RIBs that look hugely similar.

The show offers a “complete package.” It will feature a new, classy restaurant, a waterfront VIP terrace, only sales of water boating-related products, service stalls, info booths, a more significant focus on DIY boat chores, fun products on and around the water and a free In-Water HISWA Magazine at the entrance. The latter can also be downloaded before the fair. It contains a show map, general exhibition information, boat tests and information on scoops and trends.

Many exceptional yachts, including the Arcona 50 and Shogun 43, will again be at the In-Water HISWA. Saffier is bound to come with another first, and KM Yachting will display go-anywhere explorer yachts.

The choice among motor yachts is even more significant. In the top segment (from the Netherlands): Lengers Yachts’ Stratos DB 50, the Mulder Favorite 1700, the Holterman X65, the Steeler Ocean Explorer 22, the Van der Heijden Phantom Flybridge 70, the Boarnstream 50 Traveler and the Vanquish VQ 58.

From Italy: the Lilybaeum Levanzo 31 and the Solaris Power Lobster 48. Firsts from the French Prestige, the British Princess and the striking Australian Riviera Sports Yacht 4600 Platinum, a first-time exhibitor at the In-Water Hiswa.

Of course, there are again many fast and luxurious RIBs and tenders, which are very Dutch boat types. In that segment, the choice is overwhelming. The largest at Lelystad will be the Gulliver 1300. The 10m (33ft) Zilverman tender is a stunning aluminum model. Enkhuizen sloop brings the new 922 cabin, and AluShip comes armed with three firsts: the S-tender, the 720 cabin tender and the Typhoon.

The Qrafter e-Qruiser 680 Plus and the Italian Transfluid tender will be in the electric segment. Traditionally, the most prominent booths are for Mercury, Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki outboard engine brands. Hiswatewater.com regularly for the latest news.

The In-Water HISWA also hosts the Boat of the Year election. This year, there were more nominations for this award than ever. Also, a public seat was established in each jury (of sailing yachts, powerboats and tenders). Within a day, nearly 200 applications for this came to the organization.

The nominees and winners of the Boat of the Year award will be announced on August 27, on the eve of the show. The in-water show has a party every day. The KNRM, the Dutch version of Britain’s Royal National Lifeboat Institution, celebrates its 200th anniversary this year. Linssen Yachts (turns 75), Boarnstream (60), X-Yachts Benelux (40) and Jonkers Yachts (25).
