The pace of change in the recreational marine industry has never been greater. New technologies, fresh approaches to sustainability, and shifting global markets are creating both complexity and opportunity. For anyone eager to understand these changes – and discover how to turn them into growth – Metstrade 2025 in Amsterdam is the place to be. From 18 to 20 November, the RAI exhibition centre will once again transform into the world’s largest stage for professionals in the leisure marine world.

A Bigger Stage, A Richer Experience

For the first time, Metstrade will occupy the entire RAI complex, offering visitors a seamless route through all halls. Hall 11 will shine a spotlight on materials, featuring the latest in sustainable composites, bonding technologies, coatings and even advances in 3D printing. Hall 13 is being reinvented as a true centre of inspiration, housing the nominees for the DAME Design Awards, the presentations for the Boat Builder Awards, and a full daily programme at the Metstrade Stage.

Superyachts in the Spotlight

The superyacht segment continues to thrive worldwide, with strong order books and growing demand for refit projects. Reflecting this momentum, the Superyacht Pavilion has expanded to three full halls – 8, 9 and 10. Leading names such as Damen, Lürssen, MB92, Pendennis Shipyard and the Australia Refit Cluster will be on hand to showcase their expertise. In the heart of the pavilion, The Superyacht Forum will deliver a content-rich programme, ensuring valuable insights are accessible to the entire sector.

Innovation and the Next Generation

Innovation also comes from bold newcomers. Start-ups will take centre stage this year with two dedicated zones – one for the leisure marine market and one for superyachts – where they will present their visions through live pitches and theatre sessions. At the same time, the next generation is being welcomed with an expanded Young Professionals Club. For the first time, students as young as sixteen can take part in a special programme on the final day, offering a glimpse into the future of the industry.

Sustainability as a Guiding Principle

Sustainability runs like a thread throughout the event. The Next Gen Zone will showcase practical solutions for greener propulsion and smarter maritime applications, while initiatives such as the Equipment Recycling Hub and innovators like Royal3D underline how the industry is rethinking waste and resources. Metstrade itself is also making conscious choices, reducing single-use plastics, tackling food waste and encouraging sustainable stand construction.

A Meeting Place for the Global Marine World

“Metstrade 2025 is designed to offer something for everyone,” says exhibition manager Patricia Becker. “We have listened carefully to the needs of the industry and created an edition that is broader, more inspiring and more relevant than ever. This is a new chapter we are proud of – and we look forward to welcoming the entire marine community to Amsterdam.”
