FLUSHING – Damen Yachting is readying for delivery Satemi, an Amels 60 (197ft), the fourth from the builder’s next-generation Amels Limited Editions. The yacht will soon be going to the Caribbean.
Satemi features an exterior design by Espen Øino. Studio Indigo of London has created the custom interiors. Tassos Papantoniou of Torrance Yachts represented the Owners throughout the sale and build phases.
“The Owners have been involved with the build for the past 24 months and have been able to set the interior exactly as they want it,” says Papantoniou. “They have spared no expense ensuring that their yacht is specified to the highest standards – everything from the tenders to the dinnerware, it all results in a spectacular outcome.”
In keeping the Amels 60’s design focus on delivering exceptional onboard experiences, Satemi features the Amels Limited Editions signature sun deck. The feeling of space continues with a large swim platform, an owner’s suite with a folding balcony, his and her bathrooms, and a dressing room.
With six guest cabins, Satemi can accommodate up to 12 guests and 13 crew members, including the captain, making the yacht ideal for private and charter use, says Damen Yachting.
The yacht has a hybrid power and propulsion system. Captain Mattia Dzaja: “I am impressed. The benefits of this system and the reduced environmental impact are obvious, but I love most the additional safety it will provide us when we are cruising.”
Damen Yachting has three more Amels 60s in build. The Amels 60 is quickly becoming one of the yard’s most sought-after designs.
