DEN BOSCH – Moonen Yachts has taken delivery of the bare hull of its latest Moonen 122 Martinique (construction # YN205).

The yard tells the market the 37.4m spec project is available for sale and scheduled for completion in April 2025.

The vessel, the seventh yacht of Moonen’s proven Martinique design, marks a cheery start to 2024. Moonen Yachts has two other Martiniques in build, with deliveries scheduled in April and June.

Project YN205, in primer white, was towed across the Netherlands from Moonen Yachts’ partner, Talsma Shipyards, a northern Dutch specialist in building, converting, maintaining and repairing ships of up to 80m.

YN205 has gone into outfitting at Moonen Yachts’ yard.

The Martinique has a steel hull that will be filled with a high-quality, custom interior. Moonen Yachts tells interested parties that “early engagement from a buyer provides the best opportunity to develop an interior to suit a client’s specific style and taste.”

Moonen Yachts Project Manager Ian Vermoen says YN205 is “the third Martinique hull that we have built with Talsma.”

“We work very closely together with them, resulting in very well-built hulls. They think along with us during the build, and you can see that in the high-quality result.”

With the hull in white primer and the interiors and tanks already painted, the next step will be marrying the steel hull and aluminum superstructure before she enters the fit-out shed.

Moonen Yachts has done well with the Martinique design from the boards of Rene van der Velden and Diana Yacht Design.

The inaugural 26.6m Martinique, Brigadoon, was launched in 2018 and immediately won a superyacht award.
