VOLLENHOVE — Royal Huisman of the Netherlands has begun development of the world’s tallest supersailing yacht, which will have a mono-hulled rig on an 81m (264ft) aluminum hull and a 93m (305ft) mast.
The project is a testament to the collaborative efforts of GCA Architects of Barcelona, Spain and the renowned Designer Josep Juanpere Miret. While the interior design is currently a mystery, it’s bound to be a stunning addition to this impressive project. For Dutch superyacht builder Royal Huisman, Project Noir will be the tallest sailing yacht to emerge from its halls. The delivery date has not yet been mentioned.
“Royal Huisman’s capabilities can be seen in various ways, with no doubt the most important proof point being that we are selected by knowledgeable owners as the builder for their incredible and unique yachts,” says CEO Jan Timmerman. “I am pleased and humbled that we can highlight Royal Huisman’s 140th year of operation with the announcement of such a significant project. “Of the hundreds of vessels our shipyard has delivered in its history, Project 411 will be our fourth yacht in the ranks of the world’s Top ten largest sailing yachts.”
The contract for this ambitious project was recently signed. The construction is slated to commence in early 2025, marking the beginning of a new era in luxury yacht construction. While the exact delivery date is yet to be confirmed, anticipation is already building for the unveiling of this magnificent vessel. Rondal, Huisman’s neighbor and partner, will develop and produce the carbonfiber rig and sailing system on Project Noir. It manufactures highly optimized rigs and superyacht components.
