LELYSTAD – The 2024 In-Water Hiswa Boat Show (Aug. 28-Sept. 1) has received more registrations than ever before, selling out some segments and breaching its capacity of 430 boats.

Show Director Arjen Rahusen says the show, held in the circular Batavia Marina on the IJsselmeer, a large lake in the heart of the Netherlands, “has reached the limits of growth.” Last year, it attracted some 30,000 visitors and hosted 375 boats.

The 2024 show will feature lots of new stuff. Key among these: a separate jetty where exhibitors can stage boat trials for potential buyers after 5 p.m., weather permitting.

“We are proud to host the fine fleur of Dutch yacht building,” said Rahusen. (right). “We have many steel motor yachts from the highest segment and the most beautiful and largest foreign yachts.”

“The sailboat segment has been expanded with appealing new names and well-known top domestic and foreign brands. Also, this year, we have created a special section for e XXL dayboats and weekenders.”

Alex Hoeve, sales manager of the Netherlands’ biggest water sports event, says the In-Water Hiswa is keen to display “the great diversity on offer in the water and on land. Because of this great diversity, we have segmented the fair even more this year.”

Last year, the fair attracted significantly more foreign visitors, a trend that is expected to continue this year.

The In-Water HISWA is located in the central Dutch city of Lelystad, close to Belgium and Germany’s populous industrial heartland.

On Sept. 27, the boat show’s eve is a preview evening for all nominees for the “Boat of the Year Innovation Awards: the oeuvre, start-up award and innovation awards in the sailing yachts, powerboats and tenders categories.

Companies wishing to participate have until July 1 to register their boat at   info@bootvanhetjaar.nu
