Under new management, Aquanaut had a “vibrant” 2023, sees growth in 2024

SNEEK – Dutch boat builders have begun 2024 by dispatching ‘Happy New Year’s’ messages to clients and co-makers and an upbeat 2024 performance outlook. One such builder was Aquanaut Yachting, which came under new management in 2023 and reported a “vibrant” first year.

“We are proud of how, a year after taking over the shipyard, we have rebuilt our team.” The yard now boasts” a solid core of 15 craftsmen, who have already “realized many beautiful projects,” the yard added.

The new owner is family-owned “De Driesprong Yachtcenter,” a Dutch company active in boat building and leasing since 1961. The new owner said, “Not only have many Aquanaut owners returned for service, maintenance, or refits, but also many boat owners of other brands know where to find us.”

One of the yard’s 2023 highlights was delivering an Aquanaut Privilege 460 AC-Pilot House. In 2024, the yard will start on a 17m European Voyager and a 14m EV. The latter is a spec-build project due for delivery in early 2025.

“This European Voyager is still for sale and can, therefore, be adapted to your wishes! But we also dream of building an open cockpit Aquanaut Drifter CS, should you be interested.”

Inspired by the the American Passage maker trawler yachts, Aquanaut has developed its EVs in 13m, 14m, 15m and 17m versions (42ft – 56ft.) The EVs boast the yard’s classical, rugged lines of the Aquanaut Drifter and the modern lines of the true trawler yacht.

It was already exceptional when the first Global Voyager, built as a prototype with a length of 19 meters – the largest Aquanaut– was handed over to its owner.

The yard’s Global Voyager is available up to 19m (62ft). All Voyager models have large diesels and water tanks for long distances.
